This rule will be effective immediately and strictly enforced.

To prevent people getting shotgunned out of threads, these rules will be applied.

In a thread with three people, you may post no more than twice without there being a response from everyone.  So if character A and B have both posted twice since the last time C posted, they will not be permitted to post again until C has had a chance to do so.

In threads with 4+ people, while there won't be a set order, each participant will be permitted to post once, after which they cannot post again until everyone has had a chance to post.  Think of it like combat rounds.  Character B may not be second each round, but they only get to go once per round.

The obvious exception here is where a player grants permission to post around them.

Question: Is there a time limit on this, say in that in a given scene it is John Smith's turn to post and four days go buy without any contribution...?

In that case bring it up to staff and we will address the situation.

Edit:

In a thread with three people, you may post no more than twice without there being a response from everyone.  So if character A and B have both posted twice since the last time C posted, they will not be permitted to post again until C has had a chance to do so.

In threads with 4+ people, while there won't be a set order, each participant will be permitted to post once, after which they cannot post again until everyone has had a chance to post.  Think of it like combat rounds.  Character B may not be second each round, but they only get to go once per round.

Should someone sign on as a character and neglect some of their threads, that will count as a "pass" in  that round of posting, permitting the other players to move on by one round.  You must then wait for that character in the following round.

Additionally, during the week, the following rules apply:
Plot and combat threads require a post every weekday, or the character is given a "pass" for that round, and that round only.  In combat, this will be resolved as a default standard attack action on the most logical target.

Clarification desired...

Q #1: Will we be explicitly informed at the start of said thread that these rules are being enforced?

Q #2: Can't you modify 'every weekday' to 'every 24 hours' to take account of us who's time-zone is seriously out of whack to most other players here?

Q #3: If I have multiple PC's, and I sign on as PC #1, but not as #2, will it be read that I've passed on PC #2?

Q #4: Will you assure us that the appropiate ST checks our PC's Q&C's before applying the pass rule?

Q #5: If I come on, query something in my Q&C's about the plot thread, is the '24 hour countdown' reset? How about if we came on a few hours later, only to find nobody/not enough people had responded yet? Does the countdown get reset from our visit?

These are all "issues" which have been addressed repeatedly in the past.

1) Combat and plot threads are self explanatory.  If you are pursuing plot, if staff is involved, it's a plot thread.  If you're in combat, it's a combat thread.  They speak for themselves.

2) Be it a calendar day or 24 hours, you are still logging in once per day.  This is not an actual issue.

3) If you have multiple PCs, and you choose to log in with some of them while neglecting those that are involved in combat or plot, yes, you will get passed.

4) I do not need to provide assurances to you that staff is doing their jobs.  They are.

5) It should go without saying that if you are waiting on feedback from staff, you are not going to be penalized for it.  This is common sense.
