Disciplines

Post  Storyteller on Tue May 03, 2011 1:49 am

Inherent - These disciplines are inherent in the vampiric condition.  They can be learned (and can be included with other starting disciplines, at out of clan XP prices) without a teacher (up to rank 3), though you will still pay Out-of-Clan Prices for them:
Celerity
Fortitude
Potence

Common - These are able to be taught by a mentor without selling your soul.  They're also much more likely to be taught to you by another character than some of the later categories:
Animalism
Auspex
Dominate
Obfuscate
Presence

Clan Specific - These are powers that are highly guarded by the clans they belong to.  Anyone out of the clan who has these disciplines better have an extremely good reason for having it, or they may be killed.
Chimestry
Dementation
Melpominee
Mytherceria
Obtenebration
Protean
Quietus
Sanguinus
Serpentis
Thanatosis
Thaumaturgy
Valeren
Vicissitude

Rare Disciplines - These Disciplines are prohibitively rare.  It's unlikely any PC will ever have access to these:
Abombwe
Bardo
Daimoinon
Deimos
Flight - This is not a teachable discipline, as the Gargoyles believe it is a product of their condition rather than a proper power.
Kai
Kineticism
Maleficia
Nihilistics
Obeah
Ogham
Rift
Spiritus
Striga
Visceratika
