List of Sabbat Status and Meaning Empty List of Sabbat Status and Meaning

Post  Storyteller Sat May 14, 2011 11:01 pm

1. List of Reputational Status Traits

Adept: Awarded to a character that is extremely proficient at a skill or ability.  Normally the skill would follow the Trait in the listing, for example Adept at Ritae, or Adept at Finances.  Note that this is an in-character statement of how adept a character is, and does not necessarily correspond to how many levels of the ability the character has.

Blessed: When seven levels of non-Humanity morality are earned by a Vampire he may be given Blessed.  In this case the Trait must be granted by the character's Pack Priest or a member of the Sabbat Clergy ranked higher than the recipient.  This Trait is not confined to being awarded for Path rating and may also be awarded in other appropriate situations, however if it is awarded for Path rating, and the character's Path rating drops below seven, it will probably be removed.

Dedicated: There is some cause that others view you as being determined to uphold or protect.  This could be a tangible such as the bishop of your city or intangible idea, like the loyalist movement.

Devoted: When eight levels of non-Humanity morality are earned by a Vampire he may be given Devoted.  In this case the Trait must be granted by the character's Pack Priest or a member of the Sabbat Clergy ranked higher than the recipient.  This Trait is not confined to being awarded for Path rating and may also be awarded in other appropriate situations, however if it is awarded for Path rating, and the character's Path rating drops below eight, it will probably be removed.

Enlightened: When nine levels of non-Humanity morality are earned by a Vampire he may be given Enlightened.  In this case the Trait must be granted by the character's Pack Priest or a member of the Sabbat Clergy ranked higher than the recipient.  This Trait is not confined to being awarded for Path rating and may also be awarded in other appropriate situations, however if it is awarded for Path rating, and the character's Path rating drops below nine, it will probably be removed.

Favored: Given by a Cardinal or The Regent, to their choice agents.  Anyone who punishes or destroys a Favored member of the Sabbat faces automatic monomacy, unless they have a very good reason.

Feared: Others fear you, it's that simple.

Loyal:  A Cainite who is viewed as uncompromising in their loyalty to the sect or the Pack (depending on who grants it) often given to infiltrators after their return.

Militant: The vampire is known for their combative ability and willingness to use it.

Ominous: A Vampire who has a reputation for being very feared and respected. Members of the Black Hand often hold this Trait in addition to their positional Status. You must have at least three other Status (including Feared and Respected) in order to be Ominous as Reputational Status rather than Positional Status.

Protected: Granted by a Bishop (or higher member of the clergy) or an individual with eight or more Status.  Once granted it can only be removed by that individual.  Giving this Status Trait is akin to saying, "I will hurt anyone who hurts this person; I will kill anyone who kills this person." The individual who granted this Status may remove it at any time.  Also if the individual who granted this Status is killed, this Status is lost.

Recognized: Usually granted at large holiday when one individual stands out beyond the rest in the crowd.

Relentless: A Cainite with this Trait is viewed as willing to succeed at all costs. In general individuals with this Trait already have the Feared and Proven Status Traits.

Respected: A Vampire who has won the respect of packmates and others through non-physical means.

Sanctified: Can only be held by those holding rating ten in their Path; generally only awarded to those who teach the Path.

Supported: It is usually given by one Pack to the Ductus or Priest of another Pack, to denote that the one Pack supports the other and will aid them.  Granting this Trait is akin to saying you fuck with him, you fuck with us. When listed you might list it as Supported by Pack X, thus not listing each individual who contributed Status but their Pack in general.  This Trait is granted in the normal method, and once given it can only be removed by the ductus of the group that granted it, and can be removed at any time.  Also if all members of the group who granted this Trait are killed, this Status Trait is lost.

2. List of Accomplishment Status Traits:

Battle Scarred: The Vampire was Wounded or Incapacitated fighting enemies of the Sect.

Blooded: The vampire killed another Vampire in fair combat.

Charred:  The vampire survived, one of the great threats having survived in the sun or fire when called to do so by the sect. (Fire dancing, and sun dancing don’t count, this is daylight operations, or arsons for the sects ends).

Enriched: The vampire committed diablerie in accordance with sect practice but only gained if a generation is gained.

Fortified: The vampire committed diablerie in accordance with sect practice but only gained if the victim was either a sect defector, or a position holder of the enemy sect.

Gifted: A vampire with knowledge of a form of blood magic (Koldunism, Assamite Sorcery, Thaumaturgy or Necromancy).

Glorified: Each Festivo dello Estinto the Cardinal of a region runs a game of instinct that allows for multiple Pack participation. Each member of the winning Pack receives the Glorified Status Trait until the next year and the next "great game of instinct".

Hunted: A Vampire who is blood hunted (by the Camarilla) in at least one Camarilla domain.

Infamous: A Vampire who is blood hunted (by the Camarilla) in four or more Camarilla domains.

Martial: The members of the winning Pack in a War Party receive this Status Trait.  This Trait is automatically lost at the next War Party, Grand Ball or Festival of the Dead.

Proven: A Sabbat who has earned the respect of their Pack time and time again.  This Trait is the prerequisite for holding Sect positions within the Sabbat, and is often the second Trait received (after Initiated).  This Status is often awarded in conjunction with the Acceptance Ritae of a Pack, if the Cainite does not possess it already.

Undefeated: The vampire has never lost a fair fight or monomacy. Facing overwhelming odds that force flight doesn't invalidate this Status. (Once you lose, you automatically lose this Status Trait)

3. List of Positional Status Traits: (Unique ones)

Confirmed: Positional Status given to all members of the Sabbat Inquisition. This Trait cannot be lost while the character is a member of the inquisition.

Branded: Status Trait given to all Black Hand members upon joining. This Trait may never be removed as long as character is a member of the Black Hand.  May only be granted by a Dominion or Seraph.

Enforced: Positional Status Trait within the Black Hand.  Can only be gained by its members.

Engaged: Positional Status Trait within the Black Hand.  Can only be gained by its members.

Infamous: Positional Status Trait held by the Prisci.

Initiated (AKA True Sabbat): The Vampire went through the creation rites and Vaulderie. Vampire is now considered a True Sabbat this Status can only be lost via a Wild Hunt (i.e. removed from the sect).

Ordained: Is given to all members of the Sabbat Priesthood.  It can only be given by a Bishop or higher, and then only after the character has learned the Ritae of the Sabbat (i.e. must have Rituals ability).  Note that Pack Priest is a Pack position, not a position within the Sabbat Priesthood/clergy.  Pack Priests do not necessarily require the Ordained Status, nor do they receive it automatically.

Supreme: Regent of the Sabbat receives this Trait with their office.

4. List of Negative Status Traits

Dangerous: This Trait goes to vampires who endanger packmates for stupid reasons, particularly while on a hunt or other Ritus-related mission.  Most Packs only give it to those who do things like shooting packmates or standing around to argue with flamethrower-wielding soldiers; strict Packs give it simply for creating a risky situation.

Ignorant: The vampire cannot remember some essential tenet of the Sabbat as explained to her time and time again.  Most often this Trait goes to a vampire who says something like "Well, maybe some of the Antediluvians are okay."

Slow: This Trait goes to any vampire who gets overtaken by humans, whether in pursuit on foot, by vehicles or some more exotic means of travel.

Untrustworthy: The vampire failed in the performance of some key duty of her position.  This may go to a Priest who "botches" a Ritus or an Abbot who fails to maintain the security of the Pack's haven.  But it may also go to some other leader for an explicit violation of his duties

Vain (aka Cocky, Full of Himself, etc): The vampire claims mastery of some field she goes on to fail publicly at, preferably in an impressive or even physically dangerous way.  This Trait commemorates acts of unsuccessful hubris.
